Moving Truck
Ok.  Birch gives his long speech, so go through all of that.  Now, choose your gender and name, then you'll be on the moving truck.  Just leave.

Littleroot Town
Now that your out of the truck, go upstairs.  Set the clock to whatever time it is.  Check your PC and withdraw the potion  Go downstairs and set whether it's daylight savings time or not.  Your mom will bring you over to the TV to show your father battling, only to find that it ended.  Oh well.  Go outside, and talk to people.  Now, go to Birch;s house, and his wife will come talk to you.  Go upstairs and talk to your rival (either Brenden or May).  He/she will leave the house.  Now, time to explore your first route.  As soon as you get over there, you'll see Birch being chased by a rabid dog.  Oops, did I say rabid dog?  I meant to say Poochyena.  Press A on the little bag, and choose one of the three pokemon.  Now, defeat the little dog, and you'll be taken to Birch's lab.  He'll say a bunch of stuff, then give you the pokemon you battled with earlier.

Route 101
Pokemon Here: Zigzagoon
                        Poochyena
                        Wingull
                        Wurmple
Ok, just go through here, battle a little bit, then you'll reach Oldale Town.

Oldale Town
Heal your pokemon if you felt like battling, then go around town.  Talk to a guy wearing a little apron.  He'll take you to the Pokemart, then give you a potion.  If you try to go on Route 102, a man will tell you to get out of the way because he's studying footprints.  Go to Route 103.

Route 103
Pokemon Here: Zigzagoon
                        Poochyena
                        Wingull
                        Wurmple
Follow the route to the top, then you'll see your rival.  Battle him/her (yout rival will have the type yours is weak to).  This should be a piece of cake.  Now, follow her all the way back to Littleroot.  Then, at the lab, she will give you 5 pokeballs.  Birch will give you a pokedex.  Now, Go back to Oldale for the moment.  Remember the guy studying the footprints?  He was actually studying his own (lol).

Route 102
Pokemon Here: Zigzagoon
                        Poochyena
                        Wingull
                        Seedot
                        Lotad
                        Ralts
                        Wurmple
Battle the trainers, catch some pokemon.  Not much to do here.  In red are pokemon only catchable in ruby, and in blue only in sapphire.

Petalburg City
Now that you're here, visit the pokemon center.  You can't go on the other side of town yet because a guy says to check out the gym.  Do like he says, and go in the gym.  In here, you'll see your dad.  Talk to him, then a kid named Wally shows up.  He wants his own pokemon, so you have to go with him.  Just be patient, and you'll wind up done soon enough.

Route 104
Pokemon Here: Zigzagoon
                        Wurmple
Ok, forget the pokemon, nothing new.  Just battle the trainers and head for Petalburg Woods.

Petalburg Woods
Pokemon Here: Tailow
                        Zigzagoon
                        Wurmple
                        Silcoon
                        Cascoon
                        Slakoth
                        Shroomish
There's a lot to catch here.  Pick up any good items you find, and battle the trainers.  Pretty soon, you'll find a guy who says he likes Shroomish.  Then, a Team Aqua or Team Magma member will show up and battle you.  Either way, they haven a lv.9 Poochyena.  No big deal.

Route 104
Here it is, the same route, but no grass.  Just battle the trainers and pick those berries.  Also, go in the flower shop, and talk to the girls.  One will give you the Wailmer Pail, a tool to water berries.  Another girl gives you a berry.  Go outside, and talk to the kid.  He gives you the TM for Bullet Seed.

Rustboro City
Here is our next stop.  Heal your pokemon in the pokemon center and get moving.  First, go the Pokemon School.  Talk to the guy up front (the teacher), and he'll race around the room, checking on students.  He will soon stop, and give you the Quick Claw.  It's a hold item that occasionally makes your pokemon go first evn if it's slower than the opponent.  Now, off to the gym of rocks!  Inside, you can avoid the ttwo trainers if you want, but you should battle for experience.  Now, for you to battle Roxxane.
Roxxane's Pokemon: Geodude
                                Nosepass
Pretty tough.  Watch out for rock tomb.  If you have Zigzagoon at a high enough level, use sand attack to lower Nosepass's accuracy until it faints.  Then, send out a pokemon with a ground, water, or grass attack and finish her off.  For winning, you get your first badge and the TM for Rock Tomb.  It may lower your foe's speed.  Now that your done with her, visit the Cutter's house to get the HM for Cut.

Route 116
Pokemon Here: Zigzagoon
                        Whismur
                        Nincada
                        Wingull
Battle the trainers, catch the pokemon.  Not a lot here but battling and catching.  Also, there is an area to use cut, so go through and battle those trainers.  Don't forget to pick the berries!  Now, outside that cave entrance is an old man named Mr.Briney.  Some Team Aqua/Magma member stole his Wingull (nicknamed Peeko)!  So, go in.

Rusturf Tunnel
Pokemon Here: Whismur
A cave full of Whismur...How interesting.  Get the item and defeat the member.  Turns out he's the same guy you battled in Petalburg Woods.  Same old Poochyena, just slightly stronger.  Mr.Briney thanks you, then leaves.  You also get back those Devon Goods.  Now your sent to Devon Corp.  The president talks to you, and gives you a PokeNav.  You can view the map, trainers you battled, and the ribbons you've earned (if you've earned any).  Now off through Petalburg Woods

Mr.Briney's House
Here, you can see Mr.Briney chasing Peeko.  Just talk to him.  He'll take you to Dewford Town where you can deliver a letter to Steven.

Dewford Town
The first thing you should do here is talk to that fisherman.  Just say yes, and he'll give you the Old Rod.  You can catch Magikarp and Tentacool with it right now.  Now, go to the northwest part of the island.  Battle those trainers, then go inside Granite Cave for a minute.  Talk to the first guy you see (he's also the only one you see) in there, and he'll give you Flash.  You'll need it in the tunnel, because you can hardly see.  So, time to battle Dewford's gym!  Don't bother using normal types here.  This fightin gym will destroy them.  Notice how the gym is dark.  Every time you battle a trainer in there, the light gets brighter.  Just keep going until you find Brawly.

Brawly's Pokemon: Machop
                             Makuhita
The Machop isn't that hard, but the Makuhita might take a while.  If you caught an Abra in that brief period of time in the cave, and evolved it, this guy will be a breeze.  Now that your done with him, you'll get your second gym badge, and the TM for Bulk Up.  It raises attack and defense.  Leave, and go to the cave.

Granite Cave
Pokemon Here: Zubat
                        Makuhita
                        Geodude
                        Mawile
                        Sableye
                        Abra
Plenty of rare pokemon to catch here.  Just follow the slightly large cave.  On the way to Steven, you'll find a stone.  Press A on it to get an everstone.  It's an item that prevents evolution.  Keep going, and soon enough, you'll find light.  Don't hop off the ledges yet.  Go into the cave down there.  Steven is in there.  He'll talk to you a bit, then give you the TM for Steel Wing.  Now, you can leave.  It'ls finally time to leave Dewford. (Yeah!) Now, have Mr.Briney take you to Slateport.

Slateport City
There is plenty to do here.  On the beach, you can battle a bunch of trainers.  Go to the Seashore House.  Defeat all the trainers in there, and you get half a dozen soda.  Now, go to the main area of Slateport.  Here, you can buy thing in it's market.  You can buy vitamins, things for your secret base...What's a secret Base you ask?  It's a place to put stuff in.  Such as furniture, dolls, tables, etc.  Too bad you don't get Secret Power yet.  Now, find the shipyard (it's below the museum).  Go inside, and talk to Captain Stern's assistant.  Now time to visit the museum.  Go inside, and you'll find the guy you've battled twice already.  Don't worry, you son't have to battle him.  He just gives you the TM for Thief.  Go upstairs, and you'll find Capt.Stern.  He'll talk to you, but then a couple grunts come from downstairs.  Defeat them, and you can give him the Devon Goods.  Go to the contest House.  Talk to the little girl to get a Pokeblock Case.  Well, time to leave Slateport!

Route 110
Pokemon Here: Zigzagoon
                        Plusle
                        Minun
                        Gulpin
                        Wingull
Guess what?  New pokemon to catch.  In ruby, Plusle is harder to find.  In sapphire, Minun is harder to find.  In this area, you'll find trainers.  Lots.  Also an area that you can cut.  Here, you will also find the Trick House.  Inside, you get challenged by the Trick Master.
Trick 1: Cutting Challenge
Trick 2: Rock Smash Challenge
Trick 3: Switch and Smash Challenge
Trick 4: Strength Challenge
Trick 5: Rotating Doors Challenge
Trick 6: Question Challenge
Trick 7: Moving Arrows Challenge
Trick 8: Slippery Floor Challenge
You get an item every time you beat a challege.  You can only do the next challenge if you have a certain amount of HM's.  Now, time to go on that main grassy route.  As your about to go somewhere, your rival will appear to challenge you.  Defeat him/her and you'll get the Itemfinder.  It detects hidden items.  Continue on.

Mauville City
Ahhh, Mauville.  It has the Game Corner.  At the bottom left corner of the city is a lady who wants Harbor Mail.  Give it to her and get the Coin Case.  Now go the the next house over and talk to the man inside.  He'll give you HM06-Rock Smash.  Now, to the gym.  It's an electric switch gym.  How fun...Ok.  This gym will be a breeze if you started with Mudkip, considering the fact that it's part ground.  It also learns mud shot.  If not, Geodude and magnitude will work great here.
Wattson's Pokemon: Magnemite
                                Voltorb
                                Magneton
Watch out for Magnemite's sonicboom.  That's the only way he'll harm you if you caught Geodude.  Fighting attacks also work well if you have Combusken.  Guess, what?  You now have the Dynamo Badge and the tm for Shock Wave, an electric attack that never misses.  Now that you have that badge, why don't you go to the bike shop?  No, you don't have to pay money with a bunch of nines.  Just talk to the guy.  He'll say something kina corny, then you can get a bike.  The Mach Bike is faster and can go up mudslides.  The Acro Bike is slower and you can hop around on it.

Route 111
Pokemon Here: Numel
                        Zigzagoon
                        Wingull
What, were you expecting something rare?  Other pokemon are found in the desert, but we can't get there quite yet, can we?  Anyway, plenty of trainers.  You'll notice a couple of Team Magma/Aqua memebrs guarding the entrance to that building.  Ignore them for now, and head through the Fiery Path.

Fiery Path
Pokemon Here: Numel
                        Machop
                        Slugma
                        Grimer
                        Koffing
                        Torkoal
Plenty of pokemon here.  Look for Torkoal around here.  Later, when you have strength and another gym badge, you can push the boulder out of the way and get a fire stone and TM-06, Toxic.  Just continue past the trainers on Route 112 and get to the next area.  On the other side of the path is a guy next to a tree.  He gives you the TM for Secret Power.

Route 113
Pokemon Here: Sandshrew
                        Spinda
                        Skarmory
Hey, guess what folks?  Skarmory!  But, their rare.  Notice all the ash?  And little piles of dirt?  Those piles of dirt have items inside them.  So get them, and move on.  When you see a house, go in.  Talk to the coughing man to get the Soot Sack.  You can exchange ash found in the grass for glass items.  List of items here: Blue Flute (heals sleep)
                 Yellow Flute (heals confusion)
                 Red Flute (heals infuatation)
                 Black Flute (repels pokemon)
                 White Flute (attracts pokemon)
                 Pretty Chair (for secret base)
                 Pretty Desk (for secret base)
Trust me, the chair and desk take forever to get.  Anyway, battle the trainers, and move on to Fallarbor.

Fallarbor Town
Here, you'll find the Super Rank Contest.  You'll need to go all the way to Verdanturf for that.  You can blend berries here, too.  Hope you got the Pokeblock Case!  That's not really why we're here.  Continue on to the left to reach your next route.

Route 114
Pokemon Here: Seedot
                        Nuzleaf
                        Zangoose
                        Lotad
                        Lombre
                        Seviper
                        Swablu
                        Surskit
Defeat all the trainers.  Catch the Zangoose or Seviper, depending on which version you have.  Now, head into Meteor Falls.

Meteor Falls
Pokemon Here: Zubat
                        Golbat
                        Bagon
                        Solrock
                        Lunatone
Notice those Aqua/Magma members?  Go up to them.  They'll say stuff, and then leave.  Then the good guys will say their nothing but trouble.  The scientist will be upset that he didn't get the meteorite.  Leave through the other side.  Continue down here and you'll find yourself back in Rustboro.  Go back to the Rusturf Tunnel.  You'll see a man and a woman standing on different sides of the rocks.  Smash a rock, and you'll get rewarded with HM-04, Strength.  Now you can push boulders around.  At least, when you get another badge.  Continue on until you get to Verdanturf.   On a side note, there's an area where a guy says he lost his glasses.  Press A near him, and you'll find Blackglasses.  The guy says that they aren't his, so you can keep them.  He just leaves.  The Blackglasses power up dark type moves.

Verdanturf Town
Not much here.  Go to the contest house.  Talk to the lady to get a Contest Pass.  Now, you can enter in a contest.

Mt.Chimney
Remember that little building that two people were guarding?  Well, now you can get in.  So go on the cable car to reach the top of Mt.Chimney.  At the top, you'll see lots of Team Aqua/Magma members.  Defeat the couple before Archie/Maxie, then face him.

Archie/Maxie's Pokemon: Mightyena
                                      Golbat
                                      Camerupt/Sharpedo
The Mightyena might be a pain.  Intimidate is pretty annoying.  A water type will wipe most of them out if you have ruby, an electric type will do for sapphire.  When you defeat him, the two guys blocking the area below the Cable Car building will dissapear.  Now, you can go down jagged pass.

Jagged Pass
Pokemon Here: Sandshrew
                        Machop
                        Spoink
Not that much to do.  Just catch a Spoink and continue on.  Battle the trainers if you feel like it.  On a side note, you can go back to the top and buy an item that heals status problems.  There are also trainers on the top.

Lavaridge Town
Well, now your finally where your next gym battle is going to be.  Heal your pokemon, then deposit one in the PC.  Near the sand you'll find a lady who's trying to warm her egg.  She'll give it to you.  When you do hatch it, it turns out to be Wynaut, the pre-evolution of Wobbuffet.  You can also find a bitter herb shop.  It sells cheap items, but your pokemon will dislike you if you use it on them.  Time to enter the gym.  How fun.  A teleporting gym.  Just teleport your way through and you'll eventually reach Flannery, the gym leader.
Flannery's Pokemon: Slugma
                                Slugma
                                Torkoal
Watch out for sunny day and overheat.  Slugma is sure to use these attacks.  When Torkoal is out, your sure to be body slammed and attracted.  When you defeat her, you'll get your fourth badge, and TM-50, Overheat.  It's a strong fire attack, but decreases your spc.attack greatly.

Petalburg City (revisited)
Guess what?  Time to go straight to another gym.  No breaks in between.  Remember this place?  Yup, your father in the gym.  Bring a fighting type here.  Maybe a Lairon.  Something resistant to Slaking.  A Machoke and Lairon will do great.  In this gym, there are many different rooms.  The pokemon used here range from mostly Zangoose or Linoone.  In each room, they use a different item.  The following items are listed here: Dire Hit, Guard Spec., X Attack, X Defense, X Speed, X Accuracy, and a couple more.  Their not that hard.  When you get to the gym leader, watch out.
Norman's Pokemon: Slaking
                               Vigoroth
                               Slaking
Focus Punch and Facade are used often in this battle by the Slaking's.  The Vigoroth prefers slash.  Finish them off quickly or they'll finish you off.  For winning, you'll get the Balance Badge and Facade.  It's power doubles when your pokemon has a special condition.  Before you leave Petalburg, your Dad tells you to visit Wally's parents house.  They talk to you a bit, then they give you HM-03, Surf.  Before you go to Rote 103, go get the tm for ice beam aat the game corner.  It will be very useful against the next gym.  Give to something that isn't weak to ground, dragon, or flying.  Now, Off to our next stop.

Route 118
Pokemon Here: Zigzagoon
                        Wingull
                        Electrike
Not much here.  Barely anything.  But there is Steven who talks to you for a while.  Now, just go to the Berry Masters House while your at it.  The Berry Patch there as many berries.

Route 119
Pokemon Here: Zigzagoon
                        Linoone (may hold oran berries)
                        Tropius
                        Oddish
                        Gloom
Feebas (if your lucky fishing, you'll get it)
Many trainers.  Also tall grass.  In the first area you come to, you'll find a ton of Bug Trainers.  Defeat them and continue on.  After a long walk, you'll finally find a building.  The Weather Institute.  Go in.  There isn't anything else for you to do anyway, is there?  You can heal your pokemn in the bed and swap pokemon in the PC.  Here, you'll find Team Magma/Aqua members everywhere.  Defeat them and go upstairs twice.  At the top, you'll battle an admin.  When you defeat her, the Professor will give a pokemon called Castform.  Do what you want with it, then leave.  Heal your pokemon, and go ouutside.  In case you haven't noticed already, it's raining.  Guess, what?  The effects of rain.  While your about to get somewhere, May/Brenden stops you and decides to battle with you.  Defeat him/her and continue.  Guess what?  No, not something else to do.  Not yet anyway...We've just reached Fortree City!  Yeah!

Fortree City
After a very long walk, we're finally at the next city!  All the houses are on trees!  One of the homes has a girl who will trade a Skitty for a Pikachu.  But unless you traded with a friend, you wouldn't have one.  There is also a house with a lady who will give you hidden power if you can guess which hand the coin is in.  Also there is a house where you can buy chairs and desks for your secret base!  Note that if you try to go to the gym, something is blocking your way.  Buy ultra balls, and head on out to the next route!

Route 120
Pokemon Here: Zigzagoon
                        Linoone (may hold oran berries)
                        Tropius
                        Oddish
                        Gloom
                        Absol
                        Kecleon
There is a place you can cut with a hidden item.  Battle the trainers until you find Steven.  He'll talk to you a bit, then he'll use an item called the Devon Scope.  Get ready to battle the Kecleon!  When your done battling/catching the Kecleon, you can go back to Fortree.

Fortree City (revisited)
Well, now that you have the Devon Scope, time to go to the gym.  The Kecleon won't battle you, it'll run away.  Just go into the gym.  Guess what.  A flying ym.  Hope you got the tm for ice beam like I said.  Here, you have to move those logs to get through the gym, and along the way, battle the trainers.  When you finally get to her, be prepared for a tough gym battle.

Winona's Pokemon: Swellow
                              Pelipper
                              Skarmory
                              Altaria
Most people don't know this, but Altaria knows Earthquake.  Don't use a rock type on Altaria.  Instead, use a pokemon with ice beam.  Hope you trained Castform enough to withstand earthquake.  When you finally beat Winona, you'll get your sixth badge and the tm for Aerial Ace, a flying attack that never misses.

Route 120 (revisited)
Now that an annoying gym leader is doomed to train more, it's time to head for Lilycove City, home of the well-known master ranl pokémon contest!  There's nothing really new here other than some trainers you missed the first time and a couple of secret bases.  So head through!

Route 121
Zigzagoon
Linoone
Oddish
Gloom
Duskull
Shuppet

Another fairly boring route, oh joy!  On the plus side you'll get to see a nice new ghost type for your version...Well, other than that, you can fight trainers until you get there.  Yup, that works great!

Lilycove City
Yahoo, the largest (or second largest) city in the game!  There is the master rank pokémon contest (believe me, it's difficult to get an artist up to you), the department store which is blocked off by...Wait a minute, May/Brendan!  Defeat him and/or her and go shop at the department store.  Now let's go to the gym...Oh, wait, never mind, no gym after all!  You do have surf, so...Go to the east coast of Lilycove, the one you can surf on.  You can't get away yet, but there is that cave...Let's check it out!  Oh, too bad, nothing to go to here.  Well, nothing left to do here, so go back to Route 121.  There happens to be the Safari Zone (you can feed the pokémon with pokéblocks), and that water you can surf south with...Hmm, nothing good here, and wait a minute!  Follow the water down and enter Mt. Pyre...

Mt. Pyre
Duskull
Shuppet
Vulpix
Meditite

Oh joy, a bunch of Team Aqua/Team Magma members!  Well, at the top at least.  Inside the mountain are some holes which lead to itemballs containing the lax inscence and sea inscence.  If your done with that, thn follow the foggy outside route.  At the top, there are some baddies, so beat them and press A on all gravestones.  Trust me, some of them have items in them.  Since they're done for, talk to the grandparents and they'll tell you about Kyogre and Groudon. Well, time to fly back to Lilycove!

Lilycove City (revisited)
Since you still can't leave to the ocean, why not head into the cave again?  There will probably be nothing there anyway.  Oh, wrong again!  Now you can go all the way through the place.  So explore the place very thoroughly, because there is an area with 4 itemballs next to each other, and only one of them is a master ball.  You can't come back here, so make sure you get it!  At the end, you'll see that an executive has gone down in a submarine after beating him, so it's time to leave.  Just for the heck of it, let's go to Slateport!  You'll find the sea dude surrounded by people.  There will be a little scene, then you'll go back to Lilycove.  Congratulations!  Your about halfway through one of the longest parts of the game

Lilycove City(revisited)
Well, that's over, and you can finally leave Lilycove.  So, let us go to the next route!

Route
Tentacool
Tentacruel
Wingull
Pelipper

Well, we're on this route (finally)!  After a lot of doing stuff, it's time to head to the next gym.  Along the way, you'll meet grueling battles with swimmers who barely give you any money, Shoal Cave, and this guy who trades stones for shards (What an idiot!).  After some surfing, you will reach Mossdeep.  There's plenty to do here.

Mossdeep City
Well, here you can find the fishing guru's house.  Talk to him inside his home to get a super rod!  Next, head to the Space Station.  Inside, you'll find a person who gives you the Sun Stone.  On the left side of the island, there is Steven's house and the house of somebody who tells you what type of Pokéblock your first Pokémon likes.  I suggest fishing with that new fishing rod until you catch a Sharpedo, and then teach it surf.  Believe me, it will be very helpful against the gym!  In the gym, you need to step on the arrows and reach the Gym Leader.  Well, inside the gym, you'll find it very annoying that the arrows go everywhere.  You'll have to step on switches to change the  direction of some arrows.  When you get to the gym leader pair, prefare for a tough fight.

Liza&Tate's Pokémon: Lunatone
                                  Solrock
Well, they don't look likee much, but they are actually quite annoying.  If you caught a Sharpedo like I told you to, it shouldn't be too difficult.  If not, well, your out of luck.  When you beat them you'll get the TM for Calm Mind and your gym badge.  One more gym to go!  You've beaten Tate&Liza, so you can DIVE now.  Leave the island.  On a side note, to the north of Mossdeep is Shoal Cave.  I suggest going there.

Route
Time to head south!  Keep going for a while.  A little bit east of Sootopolis City is a really long DIVE spot.  Go under.  Follow the really long path.  Eventually you'll find a cave.  Enter.  You should have found a submarine.  Surface at that spot.  You'll find yourself in a cave.  Make sure you have Pokémon that know SURF, STRENGTH, and ROCK SMASH, because you have to use them to get through.

Underwater Cavern
This place can be very confusing.  There's actually several different ways to get through this cave.  When you reach the water currents, look carefully to see where the current leads.  When you get across, you'll come across a puzzle room with boulders and thingsto smash.  Do this puzzle, picking up the TM on the way, and go through.  Follow the path down.  You'll fight a few trainers, no big deal, but soon you'll find Archie/Maxie with his orb.  You'll battle him.  All his Pokémon are the same.  It might be annoying that that his Pokémon are evolved now!  Crobat will probably be most annoying, but can be taken down with a psychic typee.  When you beat him, you'll leave the cave and find the weather to be unusually sunny/rainy.  You'll get to hat with Archie and Maxie, then they'll leave.  Steven will come talk to you, saying that you need to stop this madness.

Route
Well, time to leave!  Yay!  You can finaly surf to Sootopolis.  There's a dive spot near the city.  Dive there, then follow it until you find a cave similar to the Underwater Cavern.  Pop up, and you'll be in a rainy or sunny Sootopolis.

Sootopolis City
Hmmm, I guess it's time to go to the gym, right?  Wrong!  Surf to the left side of the city, then follow the path for a while.  You'll find Steven there.  He'll take you to meet Wallace, the eigth gym leader.  You will then be allowed to enter the Cave of Origin.  Here, you can catch Kyogre/Groudon.  I suggest buying many Ultra Balls and a Pokémon that can paralyze, because this battle's tough!  When you're ready, take the path down.  You'll find HM Waterfall on the way and TM Earthquake.  When you are on the floor with Kyogre/Groudon, save.  Walk up to the beast, and you'll be in a difficult battle.  I do not recommend using Master Ball.  Unless you are pathetically desperate, I suggest saving it for harder to catch legendaries, like Latios/Latias and Rayquaza.  When you catch it jump for joy and save your game (not at the same time)!  Now you can gym battle!

Sootopolis Gym
When you first get here, you'll notice, the ice on the floor.  This will make for a very interesting puzzle.  You're going to have to walk on all the squares.  When you do, stairs will appear.  If you step on a tile a second time, you will fall through the floor and battle trainers.  The second time is a little bit harder, but the third time is the hardest.  I recommend that you fall through all three areas just to get some good trainer experience.  When you're done defeating trainers, heal your Pokémon at the PokéCenter and come back ready with potions to take on Walllace.
Wallace's Pokémon: Luvdisc
                               Sealeo
                               Seadra
                               Sealeo
                               Milotic
This will be a very annoying battle.  Prepare for irritation with that Milotic.  Luvdisc's Attract attack will leave you quite annoyed.  Most of the battle is easy, except Milotic.  It will continue to frequently use Double Team and Recover.  You'll want to use a Pokémon with a higpowered electric or grass atack to take him on.  Believe me, this battle is tough.  When you finally beat him, you'll earn the Rain Badge and recieve the TM for Water Pulse.  Time to leave the city!

Ocean to Evergrande City
Here it's the same water Pokémon as always.  Use your map and you should make it to a waterfall as you head far east enough.  Climb up the waterfall using the HM and you'll find a lonely little PokéCenter.  Heal there, then prepare for the worst in Victory Road!
